Days of Rage - The Rolling Stones Road To Altamont

Play Video

The decade that began with peace and love was shattered in the late 1960s amidst riots, assassinations and a war that wouldn’t end. The Rolling Stones became the voice of this new era, which came to a horrific end at the Altamont festival... Days of Rage examines how the Stones' image and music weren't necessarily in sync with the "peace and love" sentiments of the Woodstock generation, but reflected the more volatile aspects of the late '60s, a time when the U.S. was involved in the Vietnam War and violent protests and political assassinations were commonplace... For the Rolling Stones, as the decade came to a close, this more aggressive, violent element climaxed with their free concert, held at Altamont concert, in December 1969.
