Out of the ashes of loss and tragedy, can one man use mixed martial arts (MMA) to save a group of young people from the toughest parts of our society? Steven France, a community activist and MMA coach haunted by the suicide of his stepfather Mickey, found MMA as his saviour from the trappings of Sunderland’s council estates. Now, he’s determined to force change from within, helping troubled youngsters battle their demons with drugs, unemployment, poverty, terminal illness, and immigration.
