Benny Hill – a popular comedian of the 70’s and 80’s – was effectively “cancelled” when he was criticised for sexist, risqué and vulgar content that would be deemed unacceptable today. In this documentary, we look at some of the sketches that made his career and ask Gen-Z youngsters to review his work – do they find them funny or offensive? We also speak to those who knew him best and dive beneath the public facade… who was the real Benny Hill? And is he the same character as he played in his sketches?
